02 - Create a New Page

Those used to Microsoft will find this toolbar familiar in some ways.

Basic Page
HTML
Create

Save and name your file index.html.  Most web browsers will seek out pages called index as they will know these are home pages.

Note:  You must use a lower-case ‘i’.  If you don’t, the web browser may not be able to find it.  This simple check may save you hours of worry if you can’t upload your site later.

You now have a blank page. Add some text and pictures ... and then go onto the next lesson where you will find out how to use Tables.
